Saturday at the ZOO

Well, I talked Tony into skipping work for a day and coming with us to the zoo. We had so much fun! It was a hundred degrees outside, but fun nevertheless. It was "Ice Day" so Blue Bell was there giving out free ice cream and they had lots of fun stuff going on. All the animals were out and Mae was even loving on the goats again. She didn't kiss one this time, but she hugged on them. Thought I would share some pics with you of our fabulous family day!

Thursday, a day with Mae.

Tried to take Maekayla swimming today because it is supposed to rain tomorrow. We were there for an hour and then she kept saying "Et's go home". We came home. She went straight to sleep. I guess she didn't feel like sleeping at the pool today. Once she woke up, we laid in bed and played. She jumped and jumped and jumped! Then we took "feetplane" rides, she loved that! And we laughed and laughed, it was a great moment in time! Here's the pics that I took in between laughs..........

CRAZY DAY=CRAZY BLOG ENTRY

My day in a nut shell:

Woke up this morning, shared a bowl of cereal with Mae. Mae peed all over the kitchen floor, then Samson (the new puppy) peed all in the bathroom floor. Got all the pee cleaned up, took a shower, got dressed, put a roast in the crock pot and got OUT! Went to pick my Grandma up at noonish for her Dr's appointment. Drove downtown and picked Missy up so she could go in with Grandma.,.......clearly I am not taking Mae into a Dr's office. Dropped them off in BelleMeade around 1:10 for the appt. Left and headed to Taco Bell to feed Mae while we wait. Daddy called and informed me Wendy's and Target were just around the corner, pulled out of the drive thru at Taco Hell (yes, I said Taco Hell) and headed towards Wendy's. Ate lunch in the car and then made a quick trip through Target, apparently you can get in and out in 30 minutes. Got a text from Missy saying Grandma is going to have an ultrasound, don't rush. Had already left Target so we went to Pier One. Haven't been there in like 4 years, now I remember why! I am cheap and they are outrageous! Tried to get Mae to take a potty break? No luck, so we left the overpriced homegoods store. Headed back to the Dr's building and waited in the shade. Got another message it will be a bit longer, so we headed over to Stienmart.........I never go there either. Tried to talk Mae into a potty break there.....no such luck. Bought Mae a puzzle to keep her occupied and we left there. Headed from there BACK to Wendy's to get Mae a frosty....it is now 3pm. Then we headed over to Office Max, SUCCESS Mae took her potty break there. Parked out front of the Dr's building and waited for Nona and Gma. Maekayla took the top off her icewater and poured it all over herself, I guess she was hot? Cleaned that up and then at 4pm the Dr's finally released Grandma and we were headed to drop Missy off back at work. Then as me and Grandma are caught in rush hour traffic..........THE GAS LIGHT COMES ON!!! It's no wonder with all that driving I was doing, I didn't even pay attention to the gas! Dropped Grandma off at home, praying to make it to the gas station, and I saw JOAnn's out of the corner of my eye. Crossed 2 lanes of traffic and made a pit stop there. Ran into a girl I know and had a 30 minute conversation with her......all the while Mae is screaming like an idiot. Purchased fabric to make Maekayla's halloween outfit and a pretty fall print for a dress. Left there, got a call from 2 girls wanting purses. Made another pit stop in Greenbrier, sold 2 bags, and booked a purse party. Got home, Mae is asleep finally!!! Went to put potatoes and carrots in with the roast????? Apparently I never PLUGGED IT IN! Husband laughed uncontrollably and offered to pick up Chinese! Bring on the Wonton! Having a beer now in silence and trying to locate my sanity! Have a great evening----see you tomorrow!

Whew! What a weekend........

So we started off Saturday morning spending 45 minutes in the potty, trying to go potty. That was how long it took to convince Maekayla that it is okay to "poopy" in the potty. But we had success! yeah! Then it was off to Cheatham County for Tony's sister's wedding. Following the wedding was a reception but it was outside...............it was a steaming 90 degrees! My legs were even glistening. LOL. From there we ventrued back to Hendersonville for Missy's birthday dinner. We had fresh peeled shrimp! YUMMY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISSY!

We stayed there until quite late and then came back home. Tony got up Sunday morning and him and Junior were off to work AGAIN! I headed out to ho in the flower beds! Between the heat, the sweat, the sore hands, the very tired whinning baby and my own exhaustion.......2 hours was all I could handle! However, I did accomplish a third of it. Then I did a little more about 8 pm last night when the sun was not so bright.

We have been cleaning house today and had lots of "potty" excitement as well. Maekayla is all about her potty training right now! She has only worn 1 diaper since last Wednesday! She doesn't want anything to do with them. She loves picking out her panties all by her self and she can even put them on by herself! Oh where has the time gone!!!!!! My little munchkin is growing up so fast! Time goes by so quickly! I know she will kill me one day for this picture, but I couldn't help myself!

I know, I know!

I know it has been all week with no news. We have been busy at the Y working out and laying out. We have been swimming 3 out of 4 days so far this week. I believe that is what we will be doing this afternoon as well! It's becoming a rough summer......LOL!

Maekayla has also been working on her potty training this week. Wednesday and Thursday were big girl panty days! We didn't have any accidents until last night in the car. I am just praying that she keeps interest and doesn't get bored with it. She's getting so big! And so far today.........NO ACCIDENTS! She even peed at Target this morning. She said "Mommy, I go pee-pee", I said "You need to go?"............She said yes and off we RAN to the front of the store saying "I hold it, I hold it" the whole way. Well you know to keep the momentum up, we ended up doing our "Pee Pee Dance" in the extra large stall and then she announced to EVERYONE as we came out: "I pee pee in the big potty." She was so proud...........AND SO WAS I!! So we bought another pack of big girl panties and got some gold fish for a treat. Maekayla is the greatest, I just adore her!

Well I had to buy a new vaccuum this morning. My other one (5 years old) went on the fritz and never has recovered. I got a killer Bissell a Target and I hope it is as "mean" as it states on the box. I also got in a new shipment of purses today and then went over to the salon (Red Door, where we do our beauty at) and sold 3 of them.......not to shabby for a 10 minute trip less than a mile from the house. These are some of the new styles and colors for fall......so far!

Well, I have to put this vaccuum together so I can clean up the floor. PLUS we have a wedding rehearsal dinner tonight AND Tony is playing a softball tournament, PLUS I need to alter the dress I bought for tomorrow, just a little. AND I have to take up Mae's flowergirl dress like 3 inches on each side. Whew, being a stay at home woman is much harder than I thought..........But we did go swimming three days this week, so I can't complain too much.

And I worked out Mon, Tues, Thursday and am going in the morning.........2 snaps for me!!! Maybe even 3!

New Addition to the Family!

We finally got our new little bundle of love! 6 short weeks ago, I helped my stepmom and dad's English Springer, Molly, deliver her puppies. It was a very exciting day as I had never seen puppies be born before. It turned in to be more excitement that I thought though! I had to load up a laboring dog, 6 new puppies, 3 preteens and Maekayla in the Tahoe and head to the vet. Molly was having trouble getting the last 2 out!!! After about an hour and a half at the vet, she had a total of 8 gorgeous puppies! Missy told me to take my pick of the litter......so I picked the runt. Well turns out the "runt" wasn't the runt after all. Say hello to SAMSON, our precious new puppy! We have already introduced him to HANNAH our 6 month old "pound puppy". They seem to really like each other. We have to keep them apart for a couple of weeks until Samson can hold his own with her though. More pictures to come!!!! They are really enjoying the newly fenced in backyard. It's much more running space than the kennel. Thanks Missy and Daddy!!! And especially Morgan for giving us this gorgeous little baby boy!!! We love you!

Actually accomplishing some things today!

I got over 20 new items posted in my etsy store and already sold one of them! Very exciting! http://fuzzypeanut.etsy.com/ This is a fabulous place for "all things handmade" if you've never visited the site before. I really find great sources of inspiration on here and have gotten some awesome fabrics from some great shops too! Just thought I would share some with you.....enjoy!

The many faces of Maekayla!

"Maekayla the Model"

I made Mae this little outfit to wear for the 4th of July. I wanted to take some pics of her and then is what I got...............................she's quite the little fashion model!
I know the pics are sideways, but I cannot figure out how to rotate them????

I know, it's been a whole week!

Well..................I thought I would have more time to post BUT that doesn't seem to be the case. I have been running around like crazy trying to get things organized with the insurance. It has taken a whole week to get it all settled so that we could go buy another truck. I didn't realize that my hubby was planning on buying a HUGE ASS truck! Pardon the terminology, but there is no other way to say it! It is the biggest truck (other than Don's show truck) that I have seen! It is really nice, don't get me wrong, but I have to park on the street so he can have the driveway! Not really but you would think so.............

This week we have been trying to keep the house cleaned, work with all the insurance companies and I met with a personal fitness coach yesterday. She had lots of great advice and has started me on a weight loss plan. Now I just have to motivate myself to actually do it. Wanting to lose weight has never been the problem, getting off my butt to do it however is a different story! I set my goal at 45 pounds to lose. I am NOT going to post any BEFORE pics until I have some gorgeous AFTER pics to go with them. And I don't anticipate posting those for probably 5 months! So be patient............I'll keep you posted on my progress though.

Funny Maekayla stuff:
I have recently realized I must watch what I say in front of Mae. She is repeating everything she hears me say..............and I mean everything. Today I was watching a movie while cleaning up the livingroom and someone in the movie used a few choice words (SOB to be exact)..........Maekayla repeated it word for word. She has repeated that after me, BUT I have come to the realization that I am not the only person she is copying now! I guess we are not allowed to watch anything beyond PG during her awake hours anymore!

I promise I will write more and try to do it more often! And aren't the recent pics of the truck amazing! Tony usually prefers medium rare, but I think this looks pretty well done!!!

It's Friday.........AGAIN!

I set up a booth at Freedom Festival, the local 4th of July celebration. I was very successful in selling many items and meeting lots of great people and making some fabulous contacts for future business. It was a blast and the awesome display of fireworks was a super way to finish the day! PLUS, my husband managed to have some fireworks of his own! His work truck burned up! YES, I put that correctly..................BURNED UP! As you can tell from the pictures, it was a great thing him and Junior got out of the truck and NO it was not a drill! Firetrucks, police and all came out! He said they had to axe out the front grill and windshield to get the fire out, but unfortunately the wheels and tires were the only things that went undamaged. We lost a bunch of tools, 2 tool boxes, ladders and so many more things that he uses on a daily basis.....CRAZY huh?

Other than that, it has been a very crazy week as well! Hence why I have not been able to post any this week......but since my last day is MONDAY, I will be on much more often and keep you much more current on our fun exciting events and life!!!!
Well, gotta get my sewing room all reorganized and in order.........plus I guess I will clean house today. It's raining, which means no pool time for us today.
HAPPY JULY 4TH TO ALL!!! GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!
P.S. Did I mention this will be my final weekend at work!!!!! At least at my hourly pay job.....LOL!
